At Good.Better.Best, we know four things;

Leading is not easy, never will be, never should be, so we have to stop pretending that it can be. Leadership training is about introducing concepts. Leadership coaching helps put the concepts into concrete steps. Our coaching method is about being truthful, raw, and focused on who you want to be.
We're going to be real honest with you here; yes, you pay them a wage to do their job, yes, they're probably happy they can pay their bills; but, no that is not enough, and no, that is not ok. Employee engagement isn't about pizza parties, it's about creating an environment where employee value doesn't just benefit you, but it benefits them too.

Business consulting is an enigma, everyone knows one, but no one knows what they do. They're not like a banker, real estate agent, or mechanic; the title consultant is vague and too broad. A better title may be handyman because a handyman is defined as a person skilled at a wide range of repairs. That is really a better description of a consultant than a consultant which is simply "a person who provides expert advice professionally". We’re a lean six sigma house before that scares you away because you’ve done that before, and it didn’t work, it just caused problems, we know, we understand how difficult it is to fully realize the lean culture. But before we throw the baby out with the bathwater, let's just look at what lean six sigma fundamentally is, a team-focused managerial approach that seeks to improve performance by eliminating waste and defects. Lean six sigma is a great methodology because it focused on cycles of improvement and the people who are affected by the improvement. Everything is a cycle and everything and everyone is connected.
Good.Better.Best knows that the door to success, professionally and personally, has three locks; it looks a lot like an apartment door in the shady part of town. I mean, really. Second lock, engagement the deadbolt, yes employee engagement, it's more than a pizza party, and if you don't got it, that door is not opening. And the third lock, which is like one of those chain locks that allow the entry to partially open if the other two are unlocked, is innovation. Some reasonable changes happen because we have leadership and our employees are engaged, but we can't get past that chain lock.
